ClaraTech is evaluating a 43-inch C-Curve Mini LED engineering sample with 1152 local dimming zones as part of an ongoing display development project for casino, slot machine and EGM cabinet applications.

The current evaluation focuses on the Mini LED backlight structure, local dimming response, display module compatibility and the requirements for integrating the module into a complete monitor.

At this stage, the sample is not a finished casino monitor. Housing, touch glass, video interfaces, thermal design, power configuration and cabinet fit will be reviewed separately before a complete monitor sample is finalized.

Why Mini LED Is Being Evaluated for This Development

The purpose of this evaluation is to determine whether the Mini LED backlight structure can provide a meaningful performance advantage for selected 43-inch C-Curve casino display projects.

The current engineering sample is being reviewed for local dimming behavior, black-level control, contrast performance and integration requirements under the intended display structure.

Standard LCD backlights remain suitable for many gaming cabinet applications. Mini LED will only be considered where the additional optical performance justifies the added system complexity, power, thermal and integration requirements.

C-Curve Integration Requirements for the 43-Inch Sample

The 43-inch Mini LED engineering sample is being evaluated as part of a future C-Curve monitor configuration, so the backlight and LCD module cannot be reviewed independently from the final cabinet structure.

For a complete monitor sample, the following items will need to be confirmed against the customer’s cabinet design:

  • Cabinet opening and available installation space

  • Active display area

  • Required curve radius

  • Front glass and touch configuration

  • Mounting structure

  • Video interface requirements

  • Power and thermal requirements

  • Rear clearance and cable routing

  • Sample validation requirements

These items will determine how the current Mini LED module can be integrated into a complete C-Curve monitor rather than treated as a standalone display module.

For projects using a conventional LCD structure instead of Mini LED, ClaraTech’s C-Curve casino monitor solutions provide the reference platform for cabinet integration and mechanical review.

Next Engineering Steps Before Complete Monitor Assembly

The current Mini LED module evaluation is only one stage of the 43-inch C-Curve display development process.

Before a complete monitor sample can be finalized, the next engineering steps will include:

  • Display signal and backlight control integration

  • Local dimming control and firmware tuning

  • Power behavior and thermal evaluation

  • Monitor housing and mechanical structure development

  • Touch glass and optical stack review, if required

  • Interface and connector configuration

  • Complete monitor assembly

  • Cabinet-fit and functional validation

These steps will help determine whether the current module can be developed into a stable complete-monitor configuration for a specific OEM project.

Information Required for Mini LED Project Evaluation

Before moving from the current engineering sample to a complete monitor configuration, the following project information should be reviewed:

  • Cabinet drawing or available installation space

  • Target display size and resolution

  • Required curve radius

  • Touch or non-touch requirement

  • Front glass and optical requirements

  • Target brightness range

  • Video interface requirements

  • Power and thermal constraints

  • Sample quantity

  • Project timeline

  • Estimated production volume

These details help determine whether the 43-inch Mini LED development path is suitable for the project or whether a conventional C-Curve LCD configuration would be more appropriate.

Future Development Direction

Following the current backlight and display module evaluation, ClaraTech may proceed with further engineering development according to actual customer requirements.

Possible next steps include complete monitor assembly, touch glass evaluation, housing structure development, interface configuration, thermal review, cabinet-fit assessment and sample testing.

For premium slot machine, EGM and casino cabinet projects, ClaraTech can review customer drawings and display requirements before recommending an appropriate sample direction.

Project Review

The 43-inch C-Curve Mini LED project remains in engineering evaluation and is not presented as a finalized production monitor.

For OEM projects considering this display architecture, ClaraTech can review cabinet drawings, mechanical space, touch requirements, interfaces, power and thermal constraints before confirming the next sample stage.

For conventional C-Curve display configurations, see our C-Curve casino monitor solutions.

Send your cabinet drawing or project requirements to discuss whether the current Mini LED development path is suitable for your application.

Local Dimming Evaluation of the 1152-Zone Sample

The current 43-inch engineering sample uses a Mini LED backlight with 1152 local dimming zones.

During evaluation, ClaraTech is reviewing how the backlight responds when bright and dark image areas appear at the same time, including:

  • Zone response and transition behavior

  • Black-level control

  • Bright-area brightness consistency

  • Visible blooming around high-contrast objects

  • Backlight uniformity

  • Interaction between the backlight, LCD module and control system

The purpose of this stage is to identify the limits of the current module before complete monitor integration.

Final image performance cannot be confirmed from the backlight structure alone. It will also depend on the LCD panel, optical stack, control algorithm, firmware tuning, thermal conditions and final monitor assembly.
