This checklist covers RFQs for complete casino monitors used in new OEM slot machine and EGM cabinet projects. Preparing a useful RFQ requires more than a screen size and quantity.

For an OEM quotation, the supplier normally needs enough information to confirm the display configuration, mechanical requirements, sample scope, production quantity and shipping terms.

This checklist focuses on the information procurement and project teams should prepare before requesting a quotation.

RFQ Information to Prepare

For an initial quotation, please provide the available project information:

  • Screen size and display format

  • Resolution

  • Touch or non-touch requirement

  • Brightness target

  • Cabinet opening or mechanical limitations

  • Mounting requirement

  • Video and touch interfaces

  • RGB LED halo requirement, if applicable

  • Sample quantity

  • Estimated production quantity

  • Delivery destination

  • Requested trade term, such as EXW or FOB

Not every specification needs to be finalized before the first quotation. If cabinet drawings or mechanical dimensions are available, they can be reviewed together with the RFQ.

1. Display Configuration for Quotation

For an initial RFQ, confirm the basic display configuration first.

Please provide:

  • Screen size

  • Flat, vertical, C-Curve, or J-Curve format

  • Resolution

  • Touch or non-touch requirement

  • Brightness target

  • Required video interfaces

  • RGB LED halo requirement, if applicable

If the display format or screen size has not yet been finalized, include the available cabinet dimensions or drawing so the configuration can be reviewed before quotation.

For a more detailed mechanical fit review, see our Cabinet Opening & Active Area Guide.

2. Resolution and System Output Requirements

For quotation, confirm the required display resolution and the output capability of the gaming system.

Please provide:

  • Required resolution

  • Gaming system output resolution

  • HDMI or DisplayPort requirement

  • Required refresh rate, if specified

  • Portrait or landscape orientation

  • Whether the project is for a new cabinet or an existing system

The quoted display configuration should match the system output requirements. Any resolution or interface assumptions should be confirmed before sample production.

3. Touch and Cover Glass Requirements

For quotation, confirm whether the display requires touch and whether any custom front glass is needed.

Please provide:

  • Touch or non-touch requirement

  • Number of PCAP touch points

  • USB touch interface requirement

  • Cover glass thickness

  • Decorative printing, if required

  • AG or other surface treatment, if required

  • Optical bonding requirement, if applicable

  • Operating system or controller compatibility requirements

If custom glass or touch integration is required, the quotation should clearly identify the glass, touch controller and bonding scope included in the sample configuration.

4. Brightness Requirement

For quotation, provide the target brightness or acceptable brightness range for the project.

Please include:

  • Target brightness, if specified

  • Acceptable brightness range

  • Whether the display will be used behind touch or cover glass

  • Expected ambient lighting conditions

  • Whether nearby RGB or cabinet lighting may affect visibility

  • Any thermal or power limitations

If the final brightness has not yet been fixed, an acceptable range can be quoted first and confirmed during sample evaluation.

5. Interface and Cable Requirements

For quotation, confirm the required signal, touch and power connections for the display.

Please provide:

  • Required video inputs, such as HDMI or DisplayPort

  • USB touch interface requirement

  • RS232 requirement, if applicable

  • Power input requirement

  • Connector location or orientation requirements

  • Required cable length, if specified

  • Cable routing or rear-clearance limitations

  • RGB LED control connection, if applicable

If the cabinet has limited internal space, provide the available rear clearance or cabinet drawing so the connector position and cable direction can be reviewed before the sample configuration is confirmed.

6. Sample and Production Quantity

For quotation, provide the expected sample and production quantities if they are available.

Please include:

  • Sample quantity

  • Initial production quantity

  • Estimated project or annual volume

  • Expected reorder schedule, if known

  • Target sample date

  • Target production schedule

Quantity information helps distinguish between a prototype, small-batch, and production quotation. If future volume is not yet confirmed, an estimated range can be provided for reference.

7. Commercial and Shipping Information

For quotation, provide the commercial and delivery information required for the project.

Please include:

  • Delivery destination

  • Requested trade term, such as EXW or FOB

  • Target delivery date

  • Preferred shipping method, if known

  • Packaging requirements, if any

  • Required warranty terms

  • Quotation validity requirement, if specified

If freight cost is required as part of the quotation, the delivery city, postal code, sample quantity and estimated shipment size should be confirmed before the freight estimate is prepared.

8. Required Documents and Compliance Information

For quotation and project review, please indicate any documents or compliance information required for the project.

This may include:

  • Product datasheet

  • Mechanical drawing

  • Packing information

  • HS code

  • Country of origin

  • Required certification or compliance documents

  • Warranty requirement

  • Project-specific documentation, if applicable

Document requirements should be confirmed early, especially if they are needed for customer approval, import clearance, or project qualification.

9. What the Quotation Should Confirm

Before placing a sample order, the quotation should clearly confirm the commercial and technical scope of the proposed configuration.

Key items include:

  • Exact display configuration

  • Sample unit price

  • Production unit price or quantity tiers

  • Customization or tooling cost, if applicable

  • Sample lead time

  • Production lead time

  • Trade term

  • Warranty

  • Quotation validity

  • Any technical or commercial assumptions used for the quotation

If any project requirement is still open, it should be identified before the sample configuration is finalized.

Request an RFQ Review

If you are preparing an RFQ for a new casino display or gaming cabinet project, send the available technical configuration, cabinet information, sample quantity, estimated production volume and delivery destination.

ClaraTech can review the information and confirm what additional details are required before quotation.
